Toucan is a bird belonging to the Ramphastidae family, which includes animals with a long, colorful, cutting and light beak.
These animals occur only in the Neotropics, ranging from Mexico to Argentina.
They feed on fruits, however, this is not the only food in their diet; they also ingest the young of other bird species, eggs and small arthropods, such as grasshoppers and cicadas.
By feeding on fruits and spreading seeds around the environment, toucans act in the process of seed dispersal, and are therefore fundamental in the regeneration of forests.
